New CIDG Chief visits Mayor Beboy The newly designated chief of the Provincial Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in the person of Police Chief Inspector Bernard Lao made his courtesy call to Mayor Eric Codilla, this Tuesday May 3 inside the Mayor’s Office. PCI Lao is a product of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) batch 2001. He was the agency’s Deputy Regional Chief prior to his assignment in Ormoc. During their short interaction the city mayor said it’s not important if the police personnel assigned here is an ordinary or high ranking as long as they will perform their job. On his part the young officer also pledge his support to the city’s program especially in solving criminality. LGU workers attend stress management seminar By Jun Tarroza Handling public services and management in a government workplace is stressful, thus the aim of some city government workers for attending the “Handling Stress and Emotional Distress in Life” seminar of Vicente Hao Chin, Jr. in the City Hall, last May 4. According to Chin, stress and emotional distress are major sources of family conflicts, physical illness, work ineffectiveness and violence. Chin explained that if a person is under stress, he or she feels fear, which in turn leads to worry and then anxiety. Another indicator of distress is irritation, the consequence of which could be feelings of hurt, loneliness, depression and guilt. To control these emotions is to undergo the process of selftransformation, the comprehensive process of personal and spiritual growth as an individual. for attending <strong>the</strong> “Handling Stress<br />

and Emotional D<strong>is</strong>tress in Life”<br />

seminar <strong>of</strong> Vicente Hao Chin, Jr. in<br />

<strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> Hall, last May 4.<br />

According <strong>to</strong> Chin, stress and<br />

emotional d<strong>is</strong>tress are major sources<br />
