<strong>Cultural</strong> <strong>Identity</strong> <strong>Politics</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> (<strong>Post</strong>-)<strong>Transitional</strong> <strong>Societies</strong><br />

JAKA PRIMORAC has a PhD <strong>in</strong> sociology (University of Zagreb) and is<br />

employed at <strong>the</strong> Institute for International Relations, Zagreb (Department for Culture<br />

and Communication) as a research fellow currently work<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>the</strong> research project<br />

Global Influences and Local <strong>Cultural</strong> Changes. She was w<strong>in</strong>ner of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Cultural</strong> Policy<br />

Research Award for <strong>the</strong> year 2005, awarded by <strong>the</strong> European <strong>Cultural</strong> Foundation<br />

(ECF) and Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.<br />

SVETLANA RACANOVIĆ is an art historian, art critic and <strong>in</strong>dependent art<br />

curator from Montenegro. She is author and curator of numerous exhibitions on <strong>the</strong><br />

Montenegr<strong>in</strong> contemporary art scene <strong>in</strong> Montenegro and abroad, and author of <strong>the</strong><br />

book Montenegr<strong>in</strong> Contemporary Art Scene around 2000 – Del<strong>in</strong>quent Coalition of<br />

Theory and Practice. She is study<strong>in</strong>g for a PhD at <strong>the</strong> University of Belgrade.<br />

NADA ŠVOB-ĐOKIĆ is Scientific Adviser (Full Professor) <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Culture and<br />

Communications Department, Institute for International Relations, Zagreb. She has<br />

led numerous research projects <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational project on Redef<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>Cultural</strong> Identities (2000-2007), <strong>in</strong>itially supported by <strong>the</strong> EU. Dr Švob-Đokić has<br />

published over 300 articles, studies, monographs, research reports and books <strong>in</strong><br />

Croatian, English, French and o<strong>the</strong>r languages.<br />
