impressive, and the Symposium
staff of volunteers was superb!
Sadly, this year was Dale Nish’s
last symposium (35 th ), as he
passed away on 25 May! He
will be greatly missed by woodturners
all over the world, as
well as by his wonderful family!
Farewell to a dear teacher and
friend, Dale --- RIP.
Looking forward to our annual
San Diego County Fair ---
In Design in Wood, your pieces
will be showcased, with many
receiving many well-deserved
awards. Along with the strong
competition, we have the opportunity
to share our love of
woodturning with an interested
public! Bring your own tools,
and be prepared to describe
the fun you are having making
sawdust (i.e. Sawdstmkr) and
actually finishing with a neat
usable result.
This is also one of our fund
raising events for the Toys for
Tots, and Turn Around for Vets,
by offering tops, pens, etc. for
donations. See you there!!
