The Village
The Village, located in
UCSC’s Lower Quarry on
the east side of campus,
is a unique community
for junior and senior
continuing, transfer, and
re-entry students, as well
as graduate students. The
site, adjacent to the Farm and Garden, is in the heart
of the Great Meadow. Existing redwoods, native grasses
and other trees have been preserved as part of the natural
landscape.
• Each house features nine single rooms, three
bathrooms, and one kitchenette
• A spacious community building includes kitchen
stations and dining area
• TV lounge/common area for community events
• Meal plan optional
University Town Center
The University Town
Center (UTC), located
at 1101 Pacific Avenue
(on the corner of Pacific
and Cathcart streets in
downtown Santa Cruz),
houses students amidst
all that downtown has to
offer, including cafés, restaurants, shops, museum, movie
theaters, library and more! Continuing, transfer, reentry,
and graduate students are eligible to live here.
• Residents enjoy two- and three-person studio
apartments with private bathrooms and kitchenettes.
• Meal plan optional
• The fourth floor lounge features a large-screen TV, as
well as a full kitchen, with oven and dishwasher for
community events.
• Fifth floor lounge has computer and study areas
• Walk, bike or shuttle to classes, libraries, labs and
recreation
• Close and convenient access to the East Field
recreation and sports facilities
