Snapshot plotfiles can be cre<strong>at</strong>ed autom<strong>at</strong>ically for each CALMET layer, and<br />

each timestep in the processing period identified in <strong>Group</strong> 1. <strong>The</strong> plotfiles<br />

are comp<strong>at</strong>ible with the SURFER graphics system and are given names th<strong>at</strong><br />

include the d<strong>at</strong>e-time and model layer. Filenames are <strong>of</strong> the form<br />

yyyy_Mmm_Ddd_hhmm(UTC+hhmm)_Lzz_tMIN.* or<br />

yyyy_Mmm_Ddd_hhmm(UTC+hhmm)_Lzz_tHR.* where<br />

yyyy = Year (Base Time Zone)<br />

mm<br />

= Month (Base Time Zone)<br />

dd<br />

= Day (Base Time Zone)<br />

hhmm = Start <strong>of</strong> Timestep: Hour & Minute (Base Time Zone)<br />

(UTC+hhmm) = Base Time Zone definition (e.g. EST = UTC-0500)<br />
