CALMET Control File Inputs<br />

Input <strong>Group</strong> 9 - Precipit<strong>at</strong>ion St<strong>at</strong>ion Parameters<br />

One line <strong>of</strong> d<strong>at</strong>a is entered for each precipit<strong>at</strong>ion st<strong>at</strong>ion. Each line contains the following parameters read in free<br />

form<strong>at</strong>: CPNAM, IDPSTA, XPSTA, and YPSTA. <strong>The</strong> d<strong>at</strong>a for each st<strong>at</strong>ion are preceded by ! PSn=..., where n is<br />

the st<strong>at</strong>ion number (e.g., ! PS1=... for st<strong>at</strong>ion #1, ! PS2=... for st<strong>at</strong>ion #2, etc.). <strong>The</strong> st<strong>at</strong>ion variables (PS1, PS2,<br />

etc.) must start in Column 3. <strong>The</strong> d<strong>at</strong>a must start in Column 9 or gre<strong>at</strong>er <strong>of</strong> each record. See the sample control file<br />

for an example.<br />

Variable Type Description<br />

CPNAM char*4 Four-character st<strong>at</strong>ion name. Must be enclosed within<br />

single quot<strong>at</strong>ion marks (e.g., ' PS1', 'PS2', etc.). <strong>The</strong><br />

opening quot<strong>at</strong>ion mark must be in Column 9 or<br />

gre<strong>at</strong>er <strong>of</strong> each record.<br />

IDPSTA integer St<strong>at</strong>ion identific<strong>at</strong>ion number<br />

XPSTA real X coordin<strong>at</strong>e* (km) <strong>of</strong> surface st<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

YPSTA real Y coordin<strong>at</strong>e* (km) <strong>of</strong> surface st<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

* Coordin<strong>at</strong>es are PMAP projection coordin<strong>at</strong>es (see Input <strong>Group</strong> 2).<br />
