<strong>Table</strong> 8-4 (Continued)<br />

Input <strong>Group</strong> 6 - Mixing Height, Temper<strong>at</strong>ure, and Precipit<strong>at</strong>ion Parameters<br />

Variable Type Description Default<br />

Value<br />

SIGMAP real If NFLAGP=1 or 2, SIGMAP is the radius <strong>of</strong> influence<br />

for precipit<strong>at</strong>ion (km); if NFLAGP=3, SIGMAP is the<br />

sigma weighting factor (km); if NFLAGP=3 and<br />

SIGMAP=0.0, SIGMAP will be computed internally<br />

as half <strong>of</strong> the minimum distance between any non-zero<br />

precipit<strong>at</strong>ion st<strong>at</strong>ion and any zero precipit<strong>at</strong>ion st<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />

CUTP real Cut<strong>of</strong>f precipit<strong>at</strong>ion r<strong>at</strong>e (mm/hr);<br />

values < CUTP are set to 0.0 mm/hr<br />

100.0<br />

0.01<br />

Input <strong>Group</strong> 7 - Surface Meteorological St<strong>at</strong>ion Parameters<br />

One line <strong>of</strong> d<strong>at</strong>a is entered for each surface st<strong>at</strong>ion. If separ<strong>at</strong>e land/w<strong>at</strong>er interpol<strong>at</strong>ion is desired, this group must<br />

include only land st<strong>at</strong>ions. Overw<strong>at</strong>er d<strong>at</strong>a will be in SEAn.DAT files. Each line contains the following parameters<br />

read in free form<strong>at</strong>: CSNAM, IDSSTA, XSSTA, YSSTA, XSTZ, ZANEM. <strong>The</strong> d<strong>at</strong>a for each st<strong>at</strong>ion are preceded<br />

by ! SSn=..., where n is the st<strong>at</strong>ion number (e.g., ! SS1=... for st<strong>at</strong>ion #1, ! SS2=... for st<strong>at</strong>ion #2, etc.). <strong>The</strong> st<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

variables (SS1, SS2, etc.) must start in Column 3. <strong>The</strong> d<strong>at</strong>a must start in Column 9 or gre<strong>at</strong>er <strong>of</strong> each record. See<br />

the sample control file for an example.<br />

(Repe<strong>at</strong>ed for each <strong>of</strong> "NSSTA" St<strong>at</strong>ions)<br />

Variable Type Description<br />

CSNAM char*4 Four-character st<strong>at</strong>ion name. Must be enclosed within single<br />

quot<strong>at</strong>ion marks (e.g., 'STA1', 'STA2', etc.). <strong>The</strong> opening<br />

quot<strong>at</strong>ion mark must be in Column 9 or gre<strong>at</strong>er <strong>of</strong> each<br />

record.<br />

IDSSTA integer St<strong>at</strong>ion identific<strong>at</strong>ion number<br />

XSSTA real X coordin<strong>at</strong>e* (km) <strong>of</strong> surface st<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

YSSTA real Y coordin<strong>at</strong>e* (km) <strong>of</strong> surface st<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

XSTZ real Time zone <strong>of</strong> the st<strong>at</strong>ion (e.g., 05=EST, 06=CST, 07=MST,<br />

08=PST.)<br />

ZANEM real Anemometer height (m)<br />

* Coordin<strong>at</strong>es are PMAP projection coordin<strong>at</strong>es (see Input <strong>Group</strong> 2).<br />
