Confidence limits gener<strong>at</strong>ed by bootstrap resampling techniques are used to assess<br />
the significance of any differences in these measures. Resampling is done in blocks<br />
th<strong>at</strong> preserve the seasonal fe<strong>at</strong>ures in each of the d<strong>at</strong>asets, as originally done in the<br />
OCD4 evalu<strong>at</strong>ions. Resampling blocks are chosen to preserve the represent<strong>at</strong>ion of<br />
each site, and seasonality (e.g., each resampled set contains 17 entries for “Cameron<br />
Winter”, which are randomly chosen with replacement from the 17 periods th<strong>at</strong><br />
comprise “Cameron Winter”). D<strong>at</strong>a from Oresund are not split. <strong>The</strong> number of<br />
