OUNCIL MEET AND GREET — The Bridgeport City Council will hold a meet and greet 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, in the City Hall Council Chambers at 900 Thompson St. The meet and greet will give citizens the opportunity to meet newly elected Mayor Keith McComis, council member Matt Van Hoose and City Administrator Brandon Emmons. Other members of the city council will also be present. Clara Doyle 1908-2010 Funeral for Clara Doyle, 101, of Decatur was May 25 at Eagle Drive Baptist Church with David Isbell and Don Spain officiating. Burial was at Bethel Cemetery. Doyle died Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Decatur. Born Dec. 25, 1908, in Bowie to William and Matilda Hachlel, she married Joe Bailey Doyle Feb. 14, 1932, in Slidell. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Albert Marvin and Melvin Hachtel; and sisters, Flora Branch and Vivian Montgomery. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Neighbors of Decatur; grandson, Jerry Neighbors and wife, Janie, of Valley View; great-grandchildren, Tami Blythe, Heather Whited and Andrew Neighbors; DEATHS CLARA DOYLE great-great-grandchildren, Layni and Zane Blythe and Colton, Coy and Chaynie Whited; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Melton Neighbors, Jordon Johnson, Jimmy Gillum, Clyde Spain, Gary Bible and Kenny Bryan. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery. Gleason died Thursday, May 20, 2010, in Decatur. Born April 18, 1935, in Dallas to Robert and Verlie Turner, she was a retired teacher for the Dallas school district and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mesquite. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Gleason; sons, Scott Gleason of Tomball, David Gleason and wife, Cindy, of Justin and Bruce Gleason of Jacksboro; grandchildren, Christy, Kelly, Caleb, Kevin, Kerry and Adam Gleason, Casey Mestes Ray and Michael Mestes; brother, Charles Turner PATRICIA GLEASON of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Sandra Turner Harper of DeSoto.
