FOOD DRIVE — The New Vision Ministry Youth<br />
will be staging a canned food drive for the hungry<br />
children of <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong>. Drop off will be at N-<br />
Out in Alvord 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 29.<br />

ELVIS’ BROTHER VISITS — Elvis Presley’s younger<br />
rother Rick Stanley will visit Grace Fellowship<br />
hurch in Paradise 9:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, May 30.<br />

EMORIAL DAY CLOSING — All <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong> offices<br />

ELAY WRAP-UP — The <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong> Relay for Life<br />
rap-Up party is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at<br />
ecatur Church of Christ. A hot dog dinner will be<br />
erved and all Relay awards will be presented. Team<br />
aptains are encouraged to attend and may bring a<br />
uest.<br />
OUNCIL MEET AND GREET — The Bridgeport<br />
City Council will hold a meet and greet 6 to 7 p.m.<br />
Tuesday, June 1, in the City Hall Council Chambers<br />
at 900 Thompson St. The meet and greet will give<br />
citizens the opportunity to meet newly elected<br />
Mayor Keith McComis, council member Matt Van<br />
Hoose and City Administrator Brandon Emmons.<br />
Other members of the city council will also be<br />

She was preceded in death<br />

Branch and Vivian Montgomery.<br />
She is survived by her<br />
daughter, Marie Neighbors<br />
of Decatur; grandson,<br />

BARBECUE SUPPER — The Chico Volunteer Fire<br />
Department will have its annual barbecue supper<br />
beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the fire<br />
all. Prices are $7 for adults, $4 for children ages<br />
to 12, and children 5 and under are free. The<br />
eal includes brisket, chicken or smoked sausage,<br />
ole slaw, potato salad, beans, dessert and tea.<br />
he Buckner Band will perform. Raffle tickets for<br />
a donated beef are $10 at city hall, and the fire<br />
department and the drawing will be held at the<br />
supper. Whole, smoked briskets will be sold for $40.<br />

HEALTH FORUM — The <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong> Health Forum<br />
will meet at 9 a.m. <strong>Thursday</strong> at the Decatur City<br />
Hall Community Room. The agenda will including<br />
a wrap up of the Health Fair, an update on the<br />
CCHAPS program and results of the community<br />
health survey/assessment.<br />
LUNCH TO GO — The Decatur Chamber of<br />
Commerce’s Lunch to Go this month is sponsored<br />
by the <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Messenger</strong> 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.<br />
<strong>Thursday</strong>, May <strong>27</strong>. A barbecue sandwich, chips,<br />
cookie and a drink are $6 and available by pick up<br />
at the office, located at 115 S. Trinity, or delivery.<br />

the <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong> Heritage Museum in Decatur. Sue<br />
Tackel will speak on <strong>Wise</strong> <strong>County</strong> Cemeteries. The<br />

PARK DEDICATION — The Rhome Veterans Park will<br />
be dedicated at 2 p.m. on Memorial Day Monday,<br />
May 31. The park is located at the corner of Second<br />
