What We Aim For<br />
To be successful, <strong>Micron</strong> must consistently strive to treat customers fairly <strong>and</strong><br />
honestly. Product quality <strong>and</strong> responsible marketing practices are critical parts <strong>of</strong> what<br />
<strong>Micron</strong> is expected to do.<br />
Product Quality<br />
Maintaining the high quality <strong>of</strong> products is critical to the success <strong>of</strong> <strong>Micron</strong> because it<br />
is what customers have come to expect from us. So that we consistently meet these<br />
expectations, <strong>and</strong> so that we meet or exceed all governmental safety <strong>and</strong> Company<br />
quality st<strong>and</strong>ards for products produced, team members must act in accordance with<br />
these Company quality <strong>and</strong> safety commitments.<br />
<strong>Micron</strong> will consistently work to:<br />
• Follow all government requirements <strong>and</strong> all Company st<strong>and</strong>ards on product quality<br />
<strong>and</strong> content;<br />
• Strictly adhere to Company production <strong>and</strong> quality control procedures;<br />
• Strictly follow all government requirements <strong>and</strong> all Company st<strong>and</strong>ards for the<br />
storage, h<strong>and</strong>ling, labeling <strong>and</strong> shipping <strong>of</strong> products;<br />
• Assure that any new product has satisfied all applicable st<strong>and</strong>ards for quality before<br />
being <strong>of</strong>fered for sale; <strong>and</strong><br />
• Ensure that applicable product recall procedures are followed if a product fails to<br />
meet these st<strong>and</strong>ards.<br />
Advertising And Promotion Of Products<br />
The reputation <strong>of</strong> <strong>Micron</strong> is one <strong>of</strong> our most important assets. To maintain the<br />
ongoing trust <strong>of</strong> customers, our marketing, advertising <strong>and</strong> sales activities must<br />
describe Company products fairly, honestly <strong>and</strong> legally. When we make a claim about<br />
a product, we must be able to substantiate it.<br />
It is extremely important that advertising <strong>and</strong> promotion st<strong>and</strong>ards be adhered to at<br />
all times. There are specific procedures in place to comply with applicable st<strong>and</strong>ards.<br />
All advertising <strong>and</strong> promotions should be approved in advance by the Legal<br />
Department.<br />
Privacy Of Customer Information<br />
<strong>Micron</strong> has a responsibility to protect the privacy <strong>of</strong> information that customers<br />
entrust to us. Team members that do not have a business reason to access this<br />
information should not do so, <strong>and</strong> those that do have legitimate access should take<br />
care that no unauthorized release or use <strong>of</strong> private customer information occurs.<br />
Customer privacy is an important area where rules are still developing both within<br />
<strong>and</strong> outside the United States. <strong>Micron</strong> is committed to monitoring evolving privacy<br />
st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> may, from time to time, develop additional policies in light <strong>of</strong> them.
