Pulses initially separated by time delay, but since they have different central wavelengths the lower frequency pulse overtakes higher frequency one and interaction takes place. The spectrum <strong>of</strong> resulting sequence is shown on Fig. 2. The width <strong>of</strong> each spectral peak that corresponds single pulse in output sequence is about 20 nm that is similar to standard coarse WDM systems channel width. But such sequences are interested not only as optical source for WDM systems, they can be used alone as method <strong>of</strong> encode and transmit data packages in practically one optical signal (Fig. 3) not splitting it by several channels. However since the spectrum <strong>of</strong> complete sequence is very wide the application area is limited to short distances. Fig. 3. Further analysis <strong>of</strong> two pulses interaction in nonlinear media shows that not only pulses collision and passing one through another is important, but ultrabroadening <strong>of</strong> their spectrums and interaction <strong>of</strong> separate spectral components <strong>of</strong> each pulses plays a significant role. If both pulses spectrums are in normal group dispersion range their front contains lower-frequency components, then the tail – higher frequencies. Thus it is possible to use not only pulses with different mean wavelengths, but similar pulses also. The principle <strong>of</strong> sequence generation remains the same – the generation takes place because <strong>of</strong> the interaction <strong>of</strong> the pulse fragments with different spectral composition. Thus, the work shows that interaction <strong>of</strong> two intensive few-cycle laser pulses in nonlinear media may result in generation <strong>of</strong> sequence <strong>of</strong> ultrashort signals. The sequence has a quasi-discrete spectrum that allows effectively usage <strong>of</strong> such sequence for information encoding. The applications are wide spread from QC labs near mechanical workshop area to micro-biology and Laser fluorescence microscope laboratory set ups to study the chromosomes in a medical centre. In addition to this any surgeon also need a vibration isolated operation table to perform a delicate brain or heart surgery in a hospital. Just 100 years ago in 1905 Albert Einstein had published his outstanding contributions in the field Quantum Physics, Photo electric effect, Special and General theory <strong>of</strong> relativity which later formed the backbone <strong>of</strong> modern technological advancement and have connectivity to almost all facets <strong>of</strong> our life in the form <strong>of</strong> understanding the Universal laws <strong>of</strong> nature and space & on the other hand Optical communication to CD player hardware. So a mention <strong>of</strong> Space –Time dimensions, Mass – Energy equivalence is made to keep the connectivity to World year <strong>of</strong> Physics (WYP 2005) and Quantum Physics during introduction phase. Also an attempt is made to highlight the connectivity between mechanical science and Physics concepts. An analogy <strong>of</strong> Machine vibration and Molecular Vibration spectra presented . Industrial Spring Damper supported system design for a heavy coal crusher <strong>of</strong> any power plant compared to the requirement <strong>of</strong> a sensitive Micro- Electronic fabrication workshop or Nano - Technology experimental set up. The Physical and Mathematical aspects are briefed and limited to a moderate level <strong>of</strong> Newtonian Mechanics and Quantum Mechanics in view <strong>of</strong> better interaction with the audience from multi disciplinary branches and subjects . Non Linear systems used for isolation <strong>of</strong> shock <strong>of</strong> the order <strong>of</strong> isolation <strong>of</strong> the Fuzzy and Generic Logic concepts are used to bring out the close connectivity between Theory <strong>of</strong> Chaos , Symmetry concepts in Physics and Machine designs. Glimpses <strong>of</strong> applications in other areas are shown in the concluding slides.
