MILK HOLOGRAMS

The studies preliminary show that milk can be us as replayed holographic
recording medium consequently, we present analysis <strong>of</strong> the properties and
preliminary experimental results.
Milk is a very complex food with over 100,000 different molecular species found [1] . There
are many factors that can affect milk composition such as breed variations (With all this in
mind, only an approximate composition <strong>of</strong> milk can be given [2] : 87.3% water (range <strong>of</strong>
85.5% - 88.7%) , 3.9 % milkfat (range <strong>of</strong> 2.4% - 5.5%) and8.8% solids-not-fat (range <strong>of</strong>
7.9 - 10.0%) 3 , the carotenoid precursor <strong>of</strong> vitamin A, ß -carotene, contained in milk fat, is
responsible for the 'creamy' colour <strong>of</strong> milk. Rib<strong>of</strong>lavin imparts a greenish colour to whey [4] .
Refractive index (RI) is normally determined at 20° C with the D line <strong>of</strong> the sodium
spectrum. The refractive index <strong>of</strong> milk is 1.3440 to 1.3485 and can be used to estimate
total solids [5] .
In this research pasteurized milk used as coating holographic film. The coating film is
obtained when the milk is poured into a substrate, the poured can be in different form one
<strong>of</strong> then is per gravity other is used a spinner.
We obtained the IR spectrum from the sample (milk) as a holographic film (Graphic 1).

The spectrum shows diverse groups that correspond basically from amino acids these have
a common part into molecule that they consist <strong>of</strong> a group amino (NH3) which appear at
892.65 cm -1 , 783.98 cm - 1, 705.61 cm - 1, 1539.881 cm -1 ,1638.37 cm -1 , acid group
(COOH) [6] 3281.44 cm -1 , OH group in 1462.15 cm -1 , other bands indicate the union carbon
- hydrogen <strong>of</strong> the principal chains that they form, also some groups typical <strong>of</strong> some amino
acids as SH group basically in the cysteine at 1032.97 cm -1 , and some components <strong>of</strong> the
milk as the phosphate at1241.57 cm -1 . [7]
We get the thickness from the coating holographic milk film as function <strong>of</strong> all milk
