Möbel kann man nicht neu erfinden Doch, man kann!
Wenn es um Formen, Farben und Ausführungen geht, scheint im Möbelbereich
alles schon einmal da gewesen zu sein. Von der großen, geradlinigen
Schrankwand bis zum filigranen Sideboard mit konkav gewölbter Oberfläche,
von der strengen kubischen Garnitur bis zum organisch geschwungenen
Lounge-Sofa.
Dennoch gibt es immer wieder Raum für neue, pfiffige Produktideen. Ein
aktuelles Beispiel aus unserer Kollektion nennt sich „Q-Media“. In die Wohnwände
dieses Systems lassen sich Sound-Systeme perfekt integrieren, von
der einfachen Soundbar bis zum komplexen 5.1-System. Kabel und sperrige
Lautsprecherboxen entschwinden dem Blick, der Klang aber bleibt in voller
Perfektion erhalten. So geht das Heimkino in die nächste Runde. Wohnästheten
kommen dabei ebenso auf ihre Kosten wie Audiopuristen.
„Q-Media“ ist das erste Resultat unserer Zusammenarbeit mit harman /
kardon. Weitere Innovationen werden folgen.

Furniture can’t be reinvented, can it Yes, it can!
When it comes to shapes, colours and designs, nothing that we see in
furniture is new – it’s all been there before. From the large, straight-lined wall
unit to the filigree sideboard with a concave, curved surface; from the severe
cubic suite to the organically rounded lounge sofa.
And yet there is still always room for smart new product ideas. One current
example from our collection is called “Q-Media”. Sound systems ranging from
a simple soundbar to a complex 5.1 set-up integrate perfectly in the wall units
of this range. Cables and bulky speakers are kept out of sight, but the sound
is retained in all its glorious perfection. The home cinema is moving into the
next round. There is as much to delight the home living aesthetes as there is
the audio purists.
“Q-Media” is the first result of our collaboration with harman / kardon.
Other innovations will follow.

voll und ganz auf ihre Kosten: Die geölten Oberflächen haben eine
samtweiche Oberfläche, der Duft erinnert an Wald und Natur. Die
Optik ist topmodern, auf komfortable Bedienelemente und perfekte

Bei der Gestaltung von Musterring Möbeln
kommen unterschiedliche Materialien und
Oberflächentechniken zum Einsatz:
1. Massivholz
Massivholz ist ein echtes Naturprodukt. Maserung,
Farbe und Wachstumsmerkmale machen aus jedem
Möbelstück ein wertvolles Unikat und bekunden
die Echtheit und Authentizität des nachwachsenden
Werkstoffes. Massivholz ist langlebig, stabil und
robust. Es überzeugt durch angenehme Haptik und
wohltuenden Geruch.
2. Echtholzfurniere
Dünne Blätter werden aus ausgesuchten
Baumstämmen zu Furnieren geschält und auf solides
Trägermaterial aus Holzwerkstoffen aufgebracht.
Die Beschaffenheit der jeweiligen Holzart
verleiht echtholzfurnierten Möbeln einen unverwechselbaren
lebendigen Charakter, sie sind formstabil,
langlebig und wertbeständig.
3. Lack
Unbedenkliche Lackoberflächen, transparent oder
farbig von matt bis hochglänzend, schützen das

Solid wood is a truly natural product. Thanks to
its grain, colour and growth characteristics, each
piece of this prized furniture is truly unique, and
the authenticity and value of its renewable raw
materials are clear for all to see. Solid wood is
a long-lasting, sturdy and robust material which
offers both a nice touch and feel and a pleasant
fragrance.
2. Real wood veneers
Thin sheets are sheared from select tree trunks to
create veneers which are then mounted on solid
bases made from wood products. The characteristics
of the various types of wood offer furniture
with real wood veneers an unmistakably vibrant
character. Such furniture is sturdy and long-lasting
while also good at maintaining its value.
3. Lacquer
Surfaces which have been given a non-hazardous
coating of clear or coloured lacquer in either a matt
or high glossy finish help to protect the wood from
environmental influences, and are especially popular
among fans of modern design.
4. Décors
The art of imitating wood grain has now reached
such a high state that it can hardly be distinguished
from real wood. These décor surfaces are distinguished
by their evenly smooth or porous structures
and the fact that they are particularly easy to care
for.

darauf, dass das Holz für die Möbelproduktion aus kontrolliertem
Anbau stammt. So wird gewährleistet, dass ausreichend Bäume nachwachsen
und der Waldbestand insgesamt erhalten bleibt.

important and most precious natural areas, but it also helps to reduce
the effects of climate change, as trees absorb CO 2

bind carbon. Musterring makes sure that all the wood it uses in the
production of its furniture comes from controlled forestries. This
ensures that enough new trees are grown and forests as a whole are
preserved.

with the design of the dining area. The NEWPORT
chair and table programme was inspired by the
1950s retro style, and supports you in this with
lots of clever combinations. Frame shape and
material determine the character of the four table
variants, which are available with a fixed top and
pull-out function or with a split fixed top. Around
them are grouped smart, comfortable chairs and
carvers, steady and stable on four slender legs
or cantilevered with runners. The seating also
includes upholstered benches. Solid wood, oiled or

Der „Baumtisch” – Natur pur! Die Außenkanten an den Längsseiten
der Tischplatte mit geölter Oberfläche bleiben unbesäumt und
werden lediglich von der Rinde befreit. Verwirbelungen im Holz,
feste Äste und auch nachträglich entstehende Trockenrisse sind ein
Echtheitsmerkmal der Natur und somit auch für diesen Tisch. Passend

The “tree table” – pure nature! The top with an oiled surface is made
from the middle boards of a carefully chosen tree trunk. Apart from
removing the bark, the long outer edges are left unfinished. Swirls
in the wood, knots and any cracks that occur as the wood dries
are authenticity features of nature, and thus also of this table. The
matching “tree benches” are also available with joints; in five different
widths. The programme includes swivel chairs, cantilevered chairs
and dining tables with rectangular or rounded edges, with or without
joint, and with a choice of five frame variants.

leicht pigmentiertes Leder:

of the Musterring brand – in line

Die Aufstiegsjahre des Unternehmens sind untrennbar
verbunden mit der Entwicklungsgeschichte
der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Heute ist
Musterring eine international bekannte und aktive
Einrichtungsmarke, die sich allerdings gerne zu ihren
regionalen und geschichtlichen Wurzeln bekennt.
The years of the company‘s ascent are irrevocably
bound to the story of the development of the
Federal Republic of Germany. Today, Musterring
is an internationally known and active furnishing

1938: Der Möbelarchitekt Josef Höner gründet
das Unternehmen Musterring. Seine Idee:
Unter dem Dach einer gemeinsamen Marke sollen
Industrie, Handel und Dienstleistung zu einer starken
Leistungsgemeinschaft zusammengeführt werden.
1938: Furniture architect Josef Höner founds
the Musterring company. His idea: to combine
industry, trade and service in a strong service association
under the umbrella of a single brand.
40er Jahre: Nach kriegsbedingter Zwangspause
beginnt 1949 mit einer Tagung in Boppard eine
neue Ära. Ist das erste Produkt noch ein eher
unscheinbares Nähkästchen, folgen schon bald
ausgereifte Qualitätsmöbel. Die Marke Musterring
wird schnell zum Inbegriff für Top-Qualität zu
bezahlbaren Preisen.
The 1940s: After the break enforced by WWII,
a new era dawns at a conference in Boppard in
1949. Although the first product is “only” an
unassuming little sewing box, it is quickly followed
by well-engineered quality furniture. The name
Musterring soon becomes a synonym for top quality
at affordable prices.
50er Jahre: Es entstehen zahlreiche Erfolgsmodelle.
Ludwig Erhard, der legendäre Vater des
Wirtschaftswunders, zeichnet Musterring 1953 für
250.000 verkaufte Schlafzimmer des Typs „M49“
aus. Ende des Jahrzehnts folgen erste Gehversuche
in Österreich – die Internationalisierung der
Markenidee beginnt.
The 1950s: Very many successful designs are
created. In 1953 Ludwig Erhard, the legendary
father of the economic miracle, honours Musterring
for selling 250,000 type “M49” bedrooms. At the
end of the decade, Musterring takes its first steps
on the Austrian market – the beginning of the
internationalisation of the brand idea.
M160 – Tische, Stühle und Beimöbel: zum ersten Mal „aus einem Guss”.
Tables, chairs and occasional furniture: for the first time all “from the same mould”.
Columbia – Riegel- und Stollenprogramm mit vielfältigen Möglichkeiten.

60er Jahre: Die Ansprüche an das Wohnen
wachsen. Musterring überzeugt durch innovative
Einrichtungslösungen. Betont geradlinige Möbel
wie das Schlafraumprogramm „Duett“ beispielsweise
entsprechen dem Bedürfnis nach schnörkelloser
Modernität. Komplexe Schranksysteme bieten
für jeden Raum eine perfekte Lösung.
The 1960s: People’s requirements for home
living are growing. Musterring scores with its innovative
furnishing solutions. Furniture with emphasised
sleek lines, such as the “Duett” bedroom
programme, meets the requirements for unfussy

gestellt: Erste Aktivitäten in Kanada und Japan
tragen die Musterring Idee in ferne Märkte.
The 1970s: Musterring takes a further step
towards quality assurance with the development of
its own test institute. In 1973, the course is set for
the brand’s international presence. The company’s
first activities in Canada and Japan carry the
Musterring idea to distant markets.
80er Jahre: Die stilistische Vielfalt nimmt
weiter zu. Naturverbundene setzen auf Massivholz,
Designfreunde begeistern sich für schwarze
Lackfronten. Komplexe Wohnwandsysteme erreichen
den Zenit ihrer Popularität. Als einer der
ersten Anbieter führt Musterring eine 5-Jahres-
Garantie ein.
The 1980s: The company’s diversity of styles
continues to increase. Nature-lovers opt for solid
wood, while design-lovers are delighted by black
lacquered fronts. Sophisticated wall unit systems
reach the zenith of their popularity. Musterring
becomes one of the first providers to introduce a
5-year guarantee.

90er Jahre: Die Schranklösungen werden kleiner,
verminderte Höhen gewinnen an Bedeutung.
Insgesamt geben sich die 90er Jahre reduzierter,
Uni-Stoffe dominieren bei den Polstermöbeln. Unter
dem Titel „Transitional“ greift Musterring sehr früh
den Trend zum Stilmix auf. Außerdem entstehen
erste Heimkino-Lösungen.
The 1990s: Wardrobe solutions become
smaller, and height reductions start to gain in
importance. Overall, the 1990s are about reduction,
while plain fabrics dominate for upholstered
furniture. Musterring is very quick to adopt the
trend for mixing styles, doing so under the heading
of “Transitional”. The company introduces the first
home cinema solutions.
2000er Jahre: Musterring erweitert konsequent
die Angebotspalette. Mit set one by
Musterring erblickt eine junge, mitnahmefähige
Kollektion das Licht der Möbelwelt. Eine erste
Musterring Badmöbelkollektion greift den Wunsch
nach einer perfekten Wellness-Oase auf.
The 2000s: Musterring continues to develop
its offer to suit the market. set one by Musterring
is the birth of a young, knock-down collection for
the world of furniture. Musterring’s first collection
of bathroom furniture fulfils the desire for a perfect
