District Fight Crime Committees
1.6 DFCCs are established in all 18 districts of the territory. These
committees, comprising both official and non-official members, play an
important role in promoting the fight against crime and encouraging public
participation in this task at the district level. They have cross-membership with
the District Councils and are the only committees that are directly concerned
with law and order issues in each of the districts. The terms of reference and the
membership lists of the DFCCs are at Appendices C(a) and C(b) respectively.
The work of the DFCCs in 2009 is set out in Chapter 10.
