• Tranquility Bay Sewers – Marathon, Fla.
Provided subcontractor services for the installation of a 3,700-foot long
sanitary sewer and 4,100-foot-long water line and wastewater treatment plant
at Buccaneer Resort condominiums. To perform subaqueous operations, crews
positioned dewatering pumps adjacent to the pipe trenches during low-tide
periods, lowering the water table 2 to 3 feet to place the pipeline.
• Pembroke Pump Station – Hallandale Beach, Fla.
Included a new pump station to prevent flooding during excessive rainfall. Worked
included an at at-grade precast panel pump station building, four 40 CFS pumps
with 30-inch diameter expansion joints, backflow gates and butterfly valves, and
an electrical distribution system and motor control center.
• Bajamont Way Membrane Filtration Plant – Carmichael, Calif.
Constructed 2,300 linear feet of 48-inch micro-tunneled, gravity flow pipelines
beneath the American River to convey raw water from the Ranney collector wells
to the new 17 MGD treatment plant. Caissons were installed on either side of
the American River, using sectional slip-form. After each section cured, the areas
inside the caissons were excavated, causing the caissons to sink.
