It reminded me of the tour I took with the choir in the year of 1942 when we, also, sang in Parkersburg. Acting President Wallace Fleming drove the car I was in and this small group included Ronald Sleeth who later became Wesleyan’s president. In the car, Sleeth discussed with Dr. Fleming a concern about the possibility of his being drafted into the army of World War II.
