• Abnormal posture & accessory muscles<br />

• Tripoding and ‘sniffing’ positions<br />

• Retractions, nasal flaring, head bobbing<br />

• Seesawing breathing<br />

• Listen for noises – grunting, stridor,<br />

wheezing, ‘snoring’
