Coil Geometries<br />
Several different geometries have been considered <strong>f<strong>or</strong></strong> SMES. They are described in the rep<strong>or</strong>t<br />
below. In general, the solenoid is simplest to build and is the lowest price. However, other<br />
designs might be m<strong>or</strong>e effective <strong>f<strong>or</strong></strong> specific applications, particularly those where the stray<br />
magnetic field is imp<strong>or</strong>tant.<br />
