WARNING
• This is a lifting device ONLY. Do NOT move or dolly the vehicle while on the jack.
• Position this jack to ONLY lift on the areas of the vehicle as specified by the vehicle
manufacturer.
• After lifting the vehicle, ALWAYS support the load with appropriately rated vehicle
support stands BEFORE working on the vehicle.
• Do NOT overload this jack beyond its rated capacity. Overloading can cause damage
to or failure of the jack.
• This jack is designed ONLY for use on hard level surfaces capable of sustaining the
load. Use on other than hard level surfaces can result in jack instability and possible
loss of load.
• Center load on jack saddle BEFORE lifting vehicle. Off-center loads and loads lifted
when the jack is not level can cause loss of load or damage to the jack.
• Read, study, understand and follow all warnings and operating instructions prior to
use.
• Failure to heed these warning may result in loss of load, damage to the jack and/or
jack failure resulting in personal injury or property damage.
• Do not go under or allow anyone under the vehicle until it has been supported with
jack stands.
• No alterations shall be made to the jack.
Because of the potential hazards associated with the misuses of equipment of this type,
no alterations shall be made to the product.
Inspection
The product shall be maintained in accordance with the product instructions. No
alterations shall be made to this product.
1. Before use, a visual inspection of the jack should be made for abnormal conditions
such as cracked welds, bent, worn, loose or missing parts, or hydraulic leaks.
2. The product shall be inspected immediately if the jack is believed to have been
subject to an abnormal load or shock. It is recommended that the inspection is made
by an authorized repair technician prior to use.
Operation
IMPORTANT: Sometimes during shipping and handling, air gets into the hydraulic
system, causing poor lifting performance. Before initial operation, use the notched end of
the provided handle to engage and open the release valve counterclockwise for no more
than 1/2 full turn. With ram fully retracted, locate and remove the oil filler plug. Insert the
handle into the handle sleeve, then pump 6 to 8 strokes. This will help release and
pressurized air which may be trapped within the reservoir. Ensure the oil level is just
below the oil filler plug hole. Reinstall the oil filler plug and close the release valve.
The owner and/or operator is responsible for providing maintenance, maintaining all
decals or warning labels and while in use, maintaining the unit in good working order. If
the owner and/or operator is not fluent in English or French, the product warnings and
instructions shall be read and discussed with the operator in the operator’s native
language by the purchaser/owner or his designee. Make sure that the operator
comprehends its contents. Safety information shall be emphasized and understood prior
to usage. The jack shall be inspected per the instruction manual prior to use.
It is the owner and /or operator’s responsibility to study all warnings, operating and
maintenance instructions contained on the product label and instruction manual prior to
operation of this unit. Retain these instructions for future reference.
Raising vehicle:
1. Make sure the jack and vehicle are on a hard level surface,
2. Always set the vehicle parking brake and block the wheels.
3. Consult the vehicle owner’s manual to ascertain the location of jack points and
position the jack beneath the prescribed lift point.
4. Close the release valve by turning it clockwise with the provided handle until it is
firmly closed. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
5. Insert and secure handle into the handle sleeve. Pump handle until saddle contacts
load.
6. Raise load to the desired height, then immediately transfer the load to an
appropriately rated support devices such as jack stands.
7. Turn release valve SLOWLY counter clockwise to lower load onto jack stands.
Lowering vehicle:
1. Raise load enough to carefully remove jack stands.
2. Insert handle onto release valve and slowly turn handle counterclockwise, but no
more than 1/2 turn.
3. If load fails to lower, carefully transfer the load to another lifting device and jack
stands, then do the above two steps.
4. After removing jack from under the load, push ram and handle sleeve down to reduce
exposure to rust and contamination.
5. Maintenance
Monthly maintenance is recommended. Lubrication is important to jack as they support
heavy loads. Any restriction due to dirt, rust, etc, can cause either slow movement or
extremely rapid jerks, damaging the internal components. The following steps designed
to keep the jack well lubricated.
1. Lubricate the ram, linkages, saddle and pump mechanism with light oil.
2. Visually inspect for cracked welds, bent, loose, missing parts or hydraulic leaks.
3. If the jack is subjected to an abnormal load or shock, remove from service and have it
examined by an authorized repair technician prior to use.
4. Clean all surfaces and maintain all labels and warnings.
5. Check and maintain the ram oil level. Check ram every 3 months for any sign of rust
or corrosion. Clean as needed and wipe with an oil cloth.
Always store the jack in a fully lowered position .This will help protect critical areas
from excessive corrosion.
Do not use brake or transmission fluids or regular motor oil as they can damage the seals.
Always purchase and use products labeled hydraulic jack oil.
Adding oil
1. With saddle fully lowered and pump piston fully depressed, set jack in its upright,
level position. Remove oil filler plug.
2. Fill until oil is level with the filler plug hole, reinstall oil filler plug.
Changing oil
For best performance and longest life, replace the complete fluid supply at least once per
year.
1. With saddle fully lowered and pump piston fully depressed, remove the oil filler plug.
2. Lay the jack on its side and drain the fluid into a suitable container.
3. Fill with good quality jack oil. Reinstall oil filler plug.
Lubrication
Occasionally lubricate the handle socket pivot point, extension screw and release screw
thread to prevent corrosion.
Factory Service
Any hydraulic jack found to be damaged in any way is found to be worn or operates
abnormally, believed to have been subjected to an abnormal load shall be removed from
service until repaired . Owners and operators should be aware that repair of the
equipment requires specialized knowledge and facilities. Only factory authorized parts,
labels and decals shall be used on this equipment.
Annual inspection of the jack is recommended and should be made by the manufacturers
or suppliers authorized repair facility to ensure that the jack is in optimum condition.
