4.2 GENERATING <strong>3D</strong> HOLOSCOPIC CONTENT FOR ALIOSCOPY <strong>3D</strong> AUTO-
STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY
A research is carried out to confirm that <strong>3D</strong>VIVANT <strong>3D</strong> <strong>Holoscopic</strong> <strong>content</strong> can be replayed back on
State <strong>of</strong> the Art <strong>3D</strong> <strong>Display</strong> (Alioscopy <strong>3D</strong> <strong>Display</strong>). Figure 14 shows the steps involved in
generating <strong>3D</strong> <strong>Holoscopic</strong> <strong>content</strong> and as seen there are 8 orthographic images generated using <strong>3D</strong>
holoscopic camera and then those images are feed into the Mix & Play Assistant s<strong>of</strong>tware to mix and
replayed on Alioscopy <strong>3D</strong> <strong>Display</strong>.

A couple <strong>of</strong> video clips are generated for this display and the steps are (1) a sequences <strong>of</strong> bitmap
images are generated using the steps 1 to 4 (see Figure 14) and then (2) the bitmap images are
converted to a video clips. The resulting images are shown in Figure 15.
