board, and annual statements. This information must be
updated regularly on pain of legal penalty.
Is there an antitrust law limiting concentration in the daily press
All enterprises are regulated by the Act on Counteracting
Monopolistic Practices. This Act contains no special provisions
for the press.
Is further regulation of media concentration expected There are
plans to update the existing Press Law on media concentration.
On 19 March 2002 the government passed a Broadcasting Act
project to limit digital media concentration, which will affect
newspaper and magazine publishers.
