Foundation Day<br />
The <strong>Institute</strong> celebrated its 65 th Foundation Day<br />
on September 10, <strong>2011</strong>. On this occasion Dr. Prabhas<br />
Pande, Former Additional Director General, Geological<br />
Survey <strong>of</strong> India delivered ‘15 th Jubilee Commemoration<br />
Lecture’ on the topic Mineral Wealth <strong>of</strong> India: Present<br />
Status and Future Strategies.<br />
On the same evening <strong>of</strong> 10 th September, Guest <strong>of</strong><br />
Honour Dr. Vikram Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Noida<br />
International University, Gautam Buddha Nagar delivered<br />
a popular lecture in Hindi on Paryavaran ka Swaroop<br />
to mark the beginning <strong>of</strong> Hindi Pakhwara.<br />
Dr. N.K. Datta, Former Director General,<br />
Geological Survey <strong>of</strong> India and Member Governing<br />
Body, BSIP presided over the function. Many guests<br />
and scientists from outside the <strong>Institute</strong> attended the<br />
function.<br />
