Greta Energy Inc. – is a private Canadian corporation established <strong>in</strong> 2004.<br />

Greta specializes <strong>in</strong> development and f<strong>in</strong>anc<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> projects <strong>in</strong> the field <strong>of</strong><br />

environmentally clean renewable energy (basically WPP and HPP)<br />

Greta Energy Inc. realizes a number <strong>of</strong> projects <strong>in</strong> Northern Europe,<br />

Balkan <strong>Region</strong>, South-East Asia, <strong>in</strong> countries <strong>of</strong> the Commonwealth <strong>of</strong> Independent<br />

States and actively studies the possibilities <strong>of</strong> expansion <strong>of</strong> bus<strong>in</strong>ess to other<br />

countries such as South America, Central and Eastern Europe and Ch<strong>in</strong>a.<br />

In Russia, there are one w<strong>in</strong>d and three hydro projects are <strong>in</strong> progress.<br />

In development and feasibility studies take part a number <strong>of</strong> lead<strong>in</strong>g<br />

foreign companies (Garrad Hassan and Partners (UK)), Center <strong>of</strong><br />

Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g UES and other design and research organizations.<br />

<strong>W<strong>in</strong>d</strong> monitor<strong>in</strong>g at the <strong>Yeisk</strong> site has started <strong>in</strong> December 10, 2007 and<br />

the construction is expected to beg<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong> 2009.


Ma<strong>in</strong> objectives for construct<strong>in</strong>g the WPP<br />

<strong>in</strong> <strong>Yeisk</strong><br />

- To supply <strong>in</strong>tensively develop<strong>in</strong>g and power deficite<br />

<strong>Krasnodar</strong> <strong>Region</strong> (the largest recreational area <strong>in</strong> Russia) with<br />

environmentally clean energy<br />

- To <strong>in</strong>crease reliability <strong>of</strong> power supply and quality <strong>of</strong> electricity<br />

(frequency, voltage) <strong>of</strong> one-ended high voltage l<strong>in</strong>e <strong>of</strong> the<br />

"Kubanenergo” utilities <strong>in</strong> <strong>Yeisk</strong>“.

Pre-feasibility studies have shown that the<br />

exist<strong>in</strong>g w<strong>in</strong>d conditions, economic and legal<br />

situation <strong>in</strong> Russia provide strong ground for the<br />

development <strong>of</strong> w<strong>in</strong>d power project <strong>in</strong> <strong>Yeisk</strong><br />

region.<br />

Accord<strong>in</strong>g to the pre-feasibility studies, annual<br />

electricity production for this project is<br />

estimated at 172 GWh/a and a payback period<br />

for the project is estimated at 6-77 years at the<br />

tariff <strong>of</strong> 4.5-5.0<br />

5.0 EURO cent /kWh.
