Create successful ePaper yourself
Turn your PDF publications into a flip-book with our unique Google optimized e-Paper software.
Build your ad on a document that is the approximate size of
the ad. Do not build your ad on an oversize page: for
example, do not build a 2x2-inch ad on an 11x17-inch page.
Set up full-page ads to bleed size. Be sure to include
bleed when making a PDF. All copy and images should
be contained within the live area.
Use only CMYK (process) color. For spot red, use
magenta. Printer will convert your magenta plate to our
PMS red.
A digital proof must be provided. Laser proofs are used
to check copy and art placement only. It is the advertiser’s
responsibility to check color percentages and placement;
ink-jet and color laser proofs are not accurate for color.
If you choose to supply the ad as a working file in place
of a PDF, we require the following:
• The ad must be built using QuarkXpress, Adobe
InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
• All graphics must be CMYK or grayscale and included
with the file.
• All fonts must be PostScript Type 1 fonts and included
with the file.
IMAGE/TRIM/BLEED SPECS
Image: This is the live area that contains all text, images,
etc. that must print.
Trim: Final trim size of publication. Any images, text, etc.,
between image and trim may be trimmed off.
Bleed: Necessary 1 / 4 - inch of background beyond trim.
This ensures that the background extends to the edge of
the page.
