* For research use only in the field of Nucleic Acid Analysis. Licence agreements available for
commercial use in the field of Nucleic Acid Analysis.
^ The standard hydrophobic coating is not optimised for use with Picosurf 1 and 2 (fluorocarbon
oils). If Picosurf is to be used we suggest using a fluorophilic coating on the channel surface.
Description
The Droplet Merger Chip is a glass microfluidic device designed for the merging of
droplets in the volume range 400 pl (Ø90 µm) to 900 pl (Ø120 µm). The budding
mechanism used for reagent addition involves the generation of a stream of droplets at
the first junction which pinch off droplets as they form at the second junction. This device
is ideal for high throughput experimentation and performing assays inside droplets.
The Droplet Merger Chip is designed to fit into the Chip Interface H (Part No. 3000155)
with two Linear Connectors 4-way (Part No. 3000024).
Please contact Dolomite for more information or to discuss your application with our team
of microfluidics experts.
