PUMPING WITH CLEAN CLEAR WATER
MODEL NUMBER: DC1911-3000 A/T
THE DRAFT COMMANDER 3000® A/T MOBILE FIRE PUMP TESTING & TRAINING
SIMULATOR DEMANDS YOUR FIRE APPARATUS HAS BEEN TESTED AND IS
READY FOR ITS EMERGENCY CALL
The Draft Commander 3000® A/T is a SOLE SOURCE mobile fire pump testing and training
simulator from draft laboratory and is exclusively manufactured by Weis Fire & Safety Equipment
Company, Inc. in Salina, Kansas. The Draft Commander 3000® A/T offers unmatched simplicity,
accuracy and safety allowing a true fire pump test from draft with clean clear water. The Draft
Commander 3000® A/T is a proven testing and training device since 2002 testing thousands of fire
trucks by municipalities, government agencies, commercial and industrial fire apparatus service
agencies utilizing the Draft Commander 3000® A/T. This unit performs pump service tests up to
3,000 plus GPM as per NFPA-1911 and ISO Guidelines.
Conventional testing of a pumper has involved the grueling task of finding a standing water source
such as swimming pools, lakes or streams. Suitable water sources are becoming more difficult to
access and water levels are unpredictable. Water cleanliness can vary causing abrasive premature
pump wear. Test pits often contain dirty run off water and sediment and require transport to and
from. The Draft Commander 3000® A/T comes with all hoses, a complete set of testing discharge
tips, and a portable testing Draft Commander 3000® A/T telescoping monitor simulator station.
Pump testing can be done at the firehouse or a desired location with no apparatus or personnel
downtime in the event of an emergency fire call.
The Draft Commander 3000® A/T allows you to perform a true pump test from draft creating a
suction lift requiring the use of a primer as per NFPA 1911-2012 Edition, Section 18.7.5.1. This
makes sure the engine and fire pump are performing with the correct horsepower and the fire pump
is pumping the correct GPM. This service test is done by working from a suction lift throughout the
test with flowing clean clear water as per NFPA-1911 up to 3000 GPM. This service also allows you
to test your fire truck at your desired location, at any time, and during various seasons of the year.
The Draft Commander 3000® A/T offers fire departments a cost effective means of complying with
their annual pump test requirements as defined by ISO and the National Fire Protection
