PROMOTIONS • The Centre advertised in the local print media the family fun day on Saturday 31 October 2009. 7. BUILDING, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT • The following equipment was replaced: - Dolphin pool cleaner; - Heat exchanger plates to the 50 metre Olympic pool; - Electrical circuit to the 25 metre pool pump; - Mechanical seal to the 25 meter pool pump; - PH probe to the 25 metre pool chlorine dosing pump; - RCD on the UV system for the Hydrotherapy pool. • A service was carried out on: - Monthly service of plant rooms and circulation systems; - AHU water treatment system; - Vacuums; - Front entrance doors (waiting on new motor). 8. HEALTH, SAFETY AND SECURITY • The chlorine compound alarm has undergone testing on four occasions with no faults during the month under review. • Twelve (12) minor first aid incidents with no assistance required from lifeguards. There were no incidents that were referred to Police Services. 9. STAFF • Currently there are is one staff vacancy for a full time lifeguard (maternity leave).

ATTENDANCE The water playground is ready to open for the 2009/2010 summer season from Sunday 1 November 2009, through to 18 April 2010. The water playground will be closed on Christmas Day 2. BUILDING MAINTENANCE The water playground is gearing up for the summer opening on the 1 November; the following works have been carried out over the winter months: - painting of the office and kiosk area; - replacement of wood huts with aluminium shade shelters; - upgrade to the mini golf course. 4. STAFF Training has commenced for staff that will be employed over the summer months at the water playground. 5. PROMOTION A postcard has been designed and will be distributed to 40,000 households promoting the events over the summer months, first being the family fun day on Sunday 29 November 2009.
