very long. One of the issues here is a shared use<br />

path needs to meet appropriate grades for Americans<br />

with Disabilities Act, so basically all these are very<br />

low -- low gradients to allow people of any ability to<br />

be able to get out and walk on them and enjoy them.<br />

MR. WEBB: Well, I do know that sound refracts;<br />

it doesn't go in a straight line. And as high as<br />

these barriers are, I have serious doubts as to how<br />

much impact they're really going to have on the sound.<br />

I'm a member of the board of the Massachusetts Bicycle<br />

written comments with respect to the EADEIR. I'm also<br />

a member of a local cycling club, North Shore<br />

Cyclists. First of all, I would like to thank Mass.<br />

DOT for demonstrating its commitment to cycling and<br />

walking as well as its commitment to the Healthy<br />

Transportation Compact and the Green Dot policy. I'd<br />

also like to thank the Towns of Amesbury, Salisbury<br />

and the City of Newburyport for recognizing the<br />

economic and recreational benefits of cycling and<br />

walking as well as their support for the inclusion of<br />
