Nevertheless, during 2009 Lung Rx was performing very early pre-clinical development activities in-vitro and the results did not support further pre-clinical and clinical development plans for the targeted indication through the targeted mechanism of action. • Interferon-gamma to InterMune (ITMN) Indication: Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) Status: Phase 3 IP rights for 5 European countries were licensed and then sold to Intermune. Intermune was solely responsible for development and dismissed the project in 2007, after performing 2 large Phase III studies delivering INF-γ to the IPF patients via subcutaneous administration. We recently approached Intermune to inquire possibilities of collaboration, but they refused. Given existing freedom to operate and based on internal know-how on the drug and on key confidential data, we intend to start Phase II development of this drug through a different and, in our and our Community’s belief, more suitable way of administration for IPF. 54
