Summer Driver’s Education Applications and payments will be accepted in the
Main Office of Glen Cove High School. The office is open Monday – Friday from 7:30
a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Payment of $550.00 for in-district students and $625.00 for out-ofdistrict
students is due in full by check or money order only-NO CASH. The last day
payments will accepted is Wednesday June 22 nd 2011.
There are only 40 slots available for the summer Driver’s Education session.
Slots are available on a first come first serve basis. Students MUST have a valid
learner’s permit to register for the class. A copy of the permit must be attached to the
application in order for it to be processed.
Classes begin on Monday, June 27 th 2011 and end on Tuesday, August 9 th 2011.
Lecture classes will meet Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The
driving classes will be 2 hours long and each student will drive two times per week, times
and days to be determined by the driver’s education teacher after registration is complete.
