The estimated amount of legacies for which the Group has received notice of entitlement, but which has not been accrued –<br />

either because probate has not yet been obtained, or on grounds of insufficient information or certainty – was £23 million<br />

(<strong>2010</strong>: £24 million). At 31 March 20<strong>11</strong>, the Charity had an interest in 1,431 estates that are subject to a life interest (<strong>2010</strong>: 1,532).<br />
