Goals from the 2012 <strong>GCF</strong> Chairman (I)<br />
• Organice the 2012’s <strong>GCF</strong> anual meeting, in San Cristobal de Las Casas,<br />
Chiapas, México, September 2012.<br />
• To contribute to achieve of the <strong>GCF</strong> task and goals 1-4 (Subnational REDD+<br />
Frameworks; <strong>GCF</strong> Funds; <strong>GCF</strong> Data Base; Communications & Stakeholders<br />
Involvement).<br />
• Increase the support and cooperation for the capacity building and technical<br />
assistance (readiness phase) among <strong>GCF</strong> members.<br />
• Move forward the discusion and recomendations about policy, legal<br />
infraestructure and economics ways (similar to the ROW work).<br />
• To Promote in the <strong>GCF</strong> memebers include more voices about REDD+, sharing<br />
benefits, safegards, biodiversity, indigenous participation, etc.
Goals from the 2012 <strong>GCF</strong> Chairman (II)<br />
• To include another regions (countries) that are working and<br />
have a interest on REDD+.<br />
• Have a countrie coordinator for Mexico (outside the<br />
government structure).<br />
• Add more political will and leadership for REDD+ and the<br />
<strong>GCF</strong><br />
• Have a participation on RIO+20.<br />
• Focus goals to work on develop regional/state position<br />
documents about REDD+, as well as strategies<br />
• Continue with the Chiapas`s activities on CC and REDD+ for<br />
2012 (Implement PACCCH and reduction goals;<br />
Communication and Educative Materials; Analysis of<br />
vulnerability –last 500 years thou paleontological information-<br />
; REDD+ Chiapas Strategy).
