VINGTOR SYSTEMS AND SOLUTIONS
VINGTOR has delivered
communications
solutions to several major marine, oil & gas partners/
customers through the years. We always deliver as
promised as we are at the forefront of technology,
design, safety, security and efficiency.
RADIO COMMUNICATION
Zenitel Wireless is part of the VINGTOR family and has for several
years delivered numerous communication solutions to the maritime
sector. The starting point has been analog UHF-systems to secure
effective communications anywhere on any vessel. In 2006 Zenitel/
Vingtor delivered the first wireless, TETRA digital radio system to
several newly developed advanced semi-sub oil rigs. We deliver
standard handheld units to fully integrated customized systems.
PUBLIC ADDRESS
The VINGTOR Public Address system is specially designed to meet
the demands for a cost-effective PA system for use in the marine
environment. The system is available in various versions and offers a
set of standard and optional features which cover the requirements
for a marine Public Address and General Alarm system for all types
of ships. The upcoming VINGTOR IP based Public Address system will
set new standards within the marine and offshore market.

IPABX
Using VINGTOR ACM Advanced Integrated IP System as the backbone,
VINGTOR Oil & Gas offers a complete system for Communication,
Data, Safety and Entertainment. With these systems, reduced cost in
infrastructure, more efficient operation, improved user experience and
the confidence of type approved and certified systems are attained.
By modular building practice the system can be extended to provide
audio and data communication more than 1000 users.
TALK-BACK
The VINGTOR Talk-back system is a command communication system
based on one operator unit/panel, and a wide range of substations.
The system is typically used to coordinate activities in a work group
– when it is important that all members in the group can hear all the
conversations. The VINGTOR Talk-Back system offers a wide range of
operation units and substations designed for the marine and offshore
environment.

CCTV
The VINGTOR IP CCTV system enables cost-effective, high quality
area monitoring and video surveillance that increase the safety and
security of the crew, operations and outside applications on board
ships. It can be delivered as a stand-alone system or as functional
modules fully integrated into the VINGTOR ACM Advanced system. The
system is scalable with options for combining IP CCTV and traditional
CCTV, as the latter is still required for real-time applications.
ENTERTAINMENT
The VINGTOR IPTV system is a complete integrated digital entertainment
system for maritime use. The system provides services that
enhance crew welfare. The system supports two types of set-top
boxes - full HD set-top box with LAN output and regular set-top box-.
Both set-top boxes work digitally together with interactive TV-sets.
Standard TV sets are also supported. Optional integration with composite
input, cam modules, and additional SAT module is also available.
MASTER CLOCK
Marine Master Clock is the ideal solution for distribution of both Local
and UTC time in the marine environment. The Master Clock is
equipped with several outputs and inputs for control of Slave Clocks
as well as distribution of time to computers and other equipment
needing the correct time. The four Slave Clock outputs can be individually
programmed for different types of clocks. External radio receivers
/ time synchronization sources can be connected when higher
accuracy is needed.
INFOTAINMENT
Like the VINGTOR IPTV system, the VINGTOR INFOTAINMENT system
is a complete integrated digital entertainment system for maritime
use. The system is based on building blocks of modules. Additional
modules are VoD, audio Server, GPS monitoring on TV, Internet on TV,
PVR, PC on TV, CCTV integration, additional Web pages, and integration
with composite input.

VINGTOR - A ZENITEL BRAND
Zenitel is one of the world’s largest providers of onboard communication systems
for ships and offshore installations. Solutions and equipment are developed and
marketed under the brand name of VINGTOR – a global brand known to ship
owners and ship yards across the world. The name used to be a Norwegian company
founded in 1946 which designed, marketed and distributed radio systems.
In 1988 the company was purchased by the STENTOFON company, but the name
VINGTOR has continued to evolve into a brand offering extensive expertise in the
design, construction, installation and maintenance of integrated marine communication
systems. The brand name is today used by the part of the Zenitel organisation
serving the marine industry and Oil & Gas market.
