MURANO DRESSER/CHANGER
THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY AND RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
Before assembling your dresser/changer...
Unpack all wooden components / fittings and identify them against the fittings and components lists.
Do not discard any packaging until you are certain you have all the correct panels and fittings.
If any items are damaged or missing, please contact your retailer or Mamas & Papas on 0870 8307700.
Allow plenty of time and space when beginning the construction of your dresser/changer. The construction
of this piece of furniture requires two people.

STEP 2 STEP 1
Insert four dowels (A)
into the ends of a left
drawer side (1) and a
right drawer side (2).
You may need to use a
light hammer to gently
knock them fully into
position.
Slot four drawer cams
(B) into the large holes
in the inside faces of
both of the drawer
sides.
Note: Drawer cams have
a wider head than the
carcass cams supplied in
the fittings pack.
Ensure that the arrow on
the heads of the drawer
cams point towards the
connecting holes.

STEP 3
Screw four cam studs
(C) into the holes in the
inside of one of the
drawer fronts (3), see
diagram. Tighten them
using a cross-head
screwdriver.

STEP 4
Attach the left an right
drawer sides (1&2) to
the drawer front.
Align the dowels in the
drawer sides and the
cam studs in the drawer
front with the relevant
holes and slot the
components together.
Ensure that the grooves
in the drawer front and
the drawer sides are
correctly aligned.

Tighten the four cams
(B) in the drawer sides
using a flat-head
screwdriver to securely
attach the components.

STEP 5
Slot a drawer base (4)
into the grooves in the
drawer sides. Ensure
that the drawer base is
fully inserted into the
groove in drawer front.

STEP 6
Fix a drawer back (5) to
the drawer sides.
Ensure that the groove
in the drawer back is
aligned with the grooves
in the drawer sides and
slot the components
together.
Screw in four long
screws (D) through the
holes in the drawer sides
and tighten using a
cross-head screwdriver.

Attach the drawer
handle to the drawer
front by inserting two
handle screws (E)
through the holes in the
drawer front, see
diagram.
Slot two handle spacers
(F) onto the threaded
ends of the handle
screws.
Align the ends of the
handle screws with the
holes in the drawer
handle (G) and slot them
together. Tighten the
handle screws into the
handle using a flat-head
screwdriver.

STEP 7
STEP 8
Attach the two drawer
runners (I) to the
bottom edges of the left
and right drawer sides
(1&2).
The wheel on the
runners must point
towards the back of the
drawer. Align the holes
in the side panels with
the holes in the drawer
runner, see diagram.
Screw in three short
screws (H) for each
drawer runner (I).
Tighten them using a
cross-head screwdriver.
Repeat steps 1 to 8 to
assemble the two
remaining drawers.

STEP 9
Slot the lugs on the four
plastic feet (J) into the
holes in the bottom
edges of the left side
panel (6) and the right
side panel (7).
You may need to use a
light hammer to fully
insert the plastic feet.

Insert four dowels (A)
into the holes in the top
edges of the left and
right side panels.
You may need to use a
light hammer to gently
knock them fully into
position, see diagram.

STEP 11
Attach the six carcass
runners (K) to the inside
faces of the left and
right side panels (6&7).
When fitted the wheel
on the carcass runners
must point towards the
front of the dresser,
away from the recesses
in the back edges of the
side panels. Align the
holes in the side panels
with the holes in the
carcass runner, see
diagram.
Screw in two euro
screws (L) to secure
each carcass runner.
Tighten them using a
cross-head screwdriver.

STEP 12
Screw four cam studs
(C) into the lower holes
in the inside faces of the
left and right side panels
using a cross-head
screwdriver, see
diagram.

Slot four carcass cams
(M) into the large holes
in the inside faces of
both of the left and right
side panels (6&7).
Note: carcass cams have
a narrower head than
the drawer cams (B)
supplied in the fittings
pack.
Ensure that the arrow on
the heads of the carcass
cams point towards the
connecting holes.

STEP 14
Select the two bottom
rails (8) and insert four
dowels (A) into the
ends.
You may need to gently
tap the dowels fully into
position using a light
hammer.

STEP 15
Slot four carcass cams
(M) into the large holes
in the bottom rails (8).
Ensure that the arrow on
the heads of the carcass
cams point towards the
connecting holes.

Lay the right side panel
(7) flat on a clean, level
work surface and slot
the bottom rails (8) onto
it, see diagram.

STEP 16
Align the cam studs in
the side panel and the
dowels in the bottom
rails with the relevant
holes and slot them
together.
Tighten the two carcass
cams (M) in the bottom
rails using a flat-head
screwdriver to securely
attach the components.

Carefully turn the
assembled components
over, so that the front
edge of the dresser
carcass faces down, see
diagram.
Align the cam studs in
the left side panel (6)
and the dowels in the
bottom rails with the
relevant holes and slot
them together.
Tighten the two carcass
cams (M) in the left side
panel using a flat-head
screwdriver to securely
attach the components.

Screw four cam studs
(C) into the holes in the
underside of the top (9),
see diagram. Tighten
them using a cross-head
screwdriver.

Note: If you are not
going to use this product
as a changing station fit
the wall strap as shown.
Attach the wall strap (Q)
to the back of the top
using the washer and
screw provided.
If you are going to use
this item as a changing
station attach the wall
strap later as shown in
step 29 (page18).

STEP 19
Position the top (9) so
that the groove in the
underside is aligned with
the recesses in the back
edges of the side panels.
Align the cam studs in
the top and the dowels
in the side panels with
the relevant holes and
slot them together.
Tighten the four carcass
cams (M) in the side
panels using a flat-head
screwdriver.

Lower the two back
panels (10) into the
recesses in the back
edges of the side panels.

STEP 20
Push the back panels
along the recess and into
the groove in the
underside of the top (9).
Slot the inside edges of
the side panels into the
grooves in the H-section
(11), see diagram.

Push the H-section along
until it is flush with the
underside the top.

STEP 21
Before fixing the back
panels to the dresser
you will need to check
that it is square.
To do this, measure from
the bottom corner of
one side panel to the top
corner of the opposite,
A to A, see diagram.
Now measure the
opposite diagonal, B to
B. If the measurements
are unequal then the
dresser is not square.
To square the dresser,
gently push the top
corner of the longest
diagonal towards the
shortest top corner and
re-measure. Continue
until equal (a 2-3mm
difference is acceptable).

STEP 22
Fasten the back panels to
the side panels and the
back bottom rail using
the 32 nails (N). Use a
light hammer to drive in
the nails, see diagram.

Note: If the dresser/
changer is not to be
used as a baby changer
you may omit fitting the
changer rails to the top.
For instructions on
completing the
construction of the baby
changing unit go to
Step 26.
With the help of another
person, lift the dresser
upright.
Fill the unused holes in
the side edges of the
top (9) using the four
blanking bolts (O) and
allen key (R).

STEP 24
Align the runners on the
drawers with the runners
on the dresser sides and
slide them in.
Ensure that the drawer
with the badge is at the
bottom of the dresser,
see diagram.
The dresser is now
finished and ready for
use. Ensure that all
fittings are correctly
tightened before use.

Important Safety Notice - Use as Baby Changing Unit
If you wish to use your Murano Dresser/Changer as a baby changing unit, the all changing rails MUST be
fitted to the top (see steps 25 and 30 below).
STEP 25
Unscrew the four
blanking bolts (O) from
the top using the allen
key (R).
Remove the three
drawers from the
dresser.

Insert seven dowels (A)
into the side edges of
the top back section
(12).
Insert two dowels into
the ends of the back
changing rail (13).
Insert four dowels into
the ends of the front
changing rail (14)
You may need to use a
light hammer to gently

Screw two cam studs (C)
into the holes in the
inside faces of the left
changing rail (15) and
the right changing rail
(16), see diagram.
Screw three cam studs
into the holes in the
inside face of the back
changing rail (13)

using a cross-head
screwdriver.

Align the three dowels in
the edge of the top back
section (12) with the
holes in the back edge of
the top and slot them
together. Ensure the
large holes in the top
back section face
towards the bottom of
the dresser.
Align the cam studs in
the back changing rail
(13) and the dowels in
top back section with
relevant holes and slot
them together.

Slot three carcass cams
(M) into the large holes
in the underside of the
top back section (12).
Note: Carcass cams have
a narrower head than
the drawer cams (B)
supplied in the fittings
pack.

STEP 29
Tighten the carcass cams
using a flat-head
screwdriver.
Insert two carcass cams
(M) into the large holes
in the rear face of the
back changing rail (13).
Do no tighten the cams.
Attach the wall strap (Q)
to the rear face of the
changing back rail using
the screw and washer
supplied.
With the help of another
person, lift the dresser
upright.

STEP 30
Align the cam studs in
the left and right
changing rails (15&16)
and the dowels in top
back section (12), back
changing rail (13) and
the front changing rail
(14) with relevant holes
and slot them together.
Tighten the two carcass
cams in the back of the
back changing rail (13)
using a flat-head
screwdriver.

Screw in six assembly
bolts (P) through the
holes in the left and
right changing rails
(15&16) and tighten
them into the top using
the allen key (R).

STEP 31
Align the runners on the
drawers with the runners
on the dresser sides and
slide them in.
The dresser is now
finished and ready for
use. Ensure that all
fittings are correctly
tightened before use.
WALL STRAP INFORMATION
The wall strap is only intended to be used with the Mamas and Papas product that it is
supplied with.
Never attempt to modify or change the wall attachment strap in any way. Never use any
other fittings for attaching the strap to your furniture than those supplied.
Never use the screw provided to attach the strap to the wall. No wall attachment fittings
are supplied. This is because the type of fittings required to attach the strap to the chosen
wall is determined by the walls composition. If you are in any doubt about the correct type
of fittings to use, consult a professional before attempting to attach the strap to the wall.
The wall strap must not be used to replace any other fitting supplied with your piece of
furniture.
Furniture falling over is generally due to the surface the furniture is placed on. A warped
floor or wall-to-wall carpeting will enable the furniture to rock, so greatly increasing the
potential for the furniture to fall. If the furniture is placed on a flat level wood or tiled floor
the risk is reduced, but we still recommend the wall strap is fitted.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE & MAINTENANCE
• WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED. THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD IS
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
• Before use, ensure the dresser is on a stable, level surface.
• Do not allow children to climb on the dresser.
• Never use the dresser if any parts are broken or missing.
• Never pivot or drag the dresser on its feet, the dresser must always be lifted by at least two people
when moved.
• Do not place the dresser in the near vicinity of open fires or other sources of strong heat, such as
electric or gas fires.
• Always leave the dresser clean and dry. Wipe away any spillage straight away. The dresser can
be cleaned with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive, bleach or strong detergents.
• Check regularly that all fittings and screws are correctly tightened and are not damaged. Loose
screws can pinch parts of the body and clothing resulting in the risk of strangulation.
• A changing mattress is not supplied with this product. We recommend that you only use a
Mamas & Papas changing mattress with the Murano Dresser/Changer. Lay the changing mattress on
the changing surface, within the retaining rails.
Due to constant updating and improvements, some components may occasionally differ slightly from the diagrams shown in
these instructions. Any spare components should be thrown away after you have fully constructed your product. We reserve
the right to change the specifications of any piece of furniture without prior notice.
