introduction Enrollment Current Employees You may add, drop or make changes to your benefits for 2013 during our Annual Enrollment period, November 12, 2012 – November 26, 2012. Your choices will become effective January 1, 2013. If you do not make any elections or changes during Annual Enrollment, your benefit elections as of December 31, 2012 will automatically continue for plan year 2013, except for your Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). You must enroll and make a new Health and/or Dependent Care FSA election for the 2013 plan year. New Hires Benefits are effective on your date of hire. You have 30 days from your date of hire to complete your enrollment. Enrollment instructions are located on page 2 of this guide. Eligibility Troy University benefits are effective on the date of hire for all full time eligible employees. You must complete your enrollment in order for benefits to go into effect. Benefits will end at midnight on the date an employee resigns, retires or is no longer an employee of Troy University. Employees who are married and their spouse also works for Troy University cannot be covered as an employee and as a dependent. Dependent children may only be covered as a dependent under one parent and not both. Double coverage is not allowed. If you have changes during the plan year, you will need to contact The Enrollment Center via telephone at 866-688-9727. You are able to make changes to your demographic information or beneficiary designations at any time throughout the year.
