Book Festival Bookshops<br />

The Bookshop is open daily from 9.30am – 9.30pm.<br />

Take time to browse and explore the thousands of<br />

titles from Book Festival and other authors including<br />

Scottish interest books, contemporary fiction and<br />

non-fiction. A haven <strong>for</strong> book lovers.<br />

RBS Children’s Bookshop is open daily from<br />

9.30am – 8.30pm. The latest and best books <strong>for</strong><br />

youngsters are available in a bookshop created<br />

especially <strong>for</strong> children – from babies to teenagers.<br />

There are fun free Activity and Reading Corners at<br />

the rear where kids (and any exhausted adults!)<br />

can play, relax and read.<br />

Book Signings<br />

Authors sign copies of their books after their events.<br />

Book signings take place in the London Review of Books<br />

Signing Tent, The Bookshop and the RBS Children’s<br />

Bookshop. Please check the venue boards outside each<br />

venue <strong>for</strong> when signings are scheduled.<br />

All proceeds from our independent bookshops are<br />

put directly back into the Book Festival.<br />

Fenton Barns in The City<br />

The café at East Lothian’s Fenton Barns Farm Shop<br />

is now in the heart of Edinburgh. Wholesome snacks,<br />

tempting homemade pastries, mouth-watering cakes<br />

and tarts, as well as Fairtrade organic coffees from<br />

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, speciality teas and<br />

award-winning soft drinks.<br />

Daily from 11.00am – 6.00pm<br />

The Spiegelbar<br />

in the Highland Park Spiegeltent<br />

Evenings from 9.00pm<br />

A full and fabulous bar in our atmospheric 1930s<br />

travelling ballroom with free live music every night<br />

from Sunday 10 August. You can find out the<br />

line-up of bands from the In<strong>for</strong>mation Desk in<br />

the Entrance Tent.<br />

Book Festival authors<br />

on BBC Radio Scotland<br />

Book Festival authors also take part in live recordings<br />

of the Festival Café at the Famous Spiegeltent in<br />

George Square – near Edinburgh University – from<br />

Monday 11 to Friday 22 August (excluding weekends)<br />

at 1.15pm – 2.00pm. Tickets are free from the Fringe:<br />
