powerful event marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of Israel and<br />

the en<strong>for</strong>ced exodus of the Palestinian population. Israeli historian Ilan Pappé<br />

has uncovered the full extent of what he considers ethnic cleansing. He<br />

talks with Palestinian writer Raja Shehadeh and artist Jane Frere, whose<br />

extraordinary art project Nakbah: Return of the Soul enshrines the stories<br />

of those who had to leave.<br />
