Illustrator, photographer, comic book artist, graphic designer, film-maker<br />

and musician, Dave McKean is a true polymath. Best-known <strong>for</strong> his<br />

graphic novel illustration, he’s worked on Neil Gaiman’s Black Orchid<br />

and The Sandman, D C Comic’s Hellblazer and his own ambitious project,<br />

Cages, a graphic novel exploring artists and creativity which has been<br />

six years in the making. McKean’s debut feature film Mirrormask came<br />

out in 2005 and he has also worked as conceptual artist on the Harry<br />

Potter films. Come and meet this truly talented artist. Perfect <strong>for</strong> teens<br />

as well as adults.<br />

A dream team of two of the most powerful and beguiling artists of fiction<br />

at work today. Unsettling and sensuous, Patrick McGrath’s fiction often<br />

centres on damaged people (as in Spider, made into a David Cronenberg<br />

movie). His new novel Trauma explores a lonely and grieving psychiatrist.<br />

Colm Tóibín is a master at work, as proved by his recent stories Mothers<br />

and Sons.<br />
