• Many species may not cross what they perceive<br />

as n<strong>on</strong>-habitat despite the size of the n<strong>on</strong>habitat<br />

patch<br />

• C<strong>on</strong>servati<strong>on</strong> areas may need to expand or<br />

reassess their borders to meet these habitat<br />

shifts
