Mary ’ s Colle g e Art Show Nicole Chae ‘15 Rylee Rodriguez ‘15 Mia Gilbert ‘13 received Honorable Mention a number of ND’s talented visual arts students were accepted into the Mt. St. Mary’s College juried art exhibition hosted by the Jose Drudis- Biada Gallery this past November. The show opened with an artists’ reception on November 12 in the reknowned gallery on campus and ran throughout the month. Kudos to Stephanie Federoff '14 and Mia Gilbert '13 who both received Honorable Mention awards. Other participants included: Anna Blake '15, Nicole Chae '15, Terra Dao '14, Rylee Rodriguez '15, Olivia Rosato '13, and Sonia Shoji-Jeevanjee '15. ND visual arts teachers Paula Hutchings, Joseph Lee and Greg Walker are most proud of their accomplished young artists! Also receiving Honorable Mention was Stephanie Federoff ‘14
School News Page 13 N D W e l c o m e s N e w Dii r e c t o r o f Adv a n c e m e n t n otre Dame is pleased to ann - ounce the app - oint ment of Tracey Hughes as its new Director of Advancement. Tracey has a background in sales and marketing and was a regional sales manager for Time, Inc. until 2008. Over the past several years, she transitioned her career to use her business background in the non-profit world. She has a certificate in fundraising management from UCLA and most recently has worked with the non-profit Tree People as its senior manager. Tracey is happy to update our readers on the progress of our Light the Way capital campaign. This past summer the $1.2 million renovation of the Allegretti building was completed, giving the school a completely remodeled library (see page 5), new and expanded technology and more classrooms. Over $6 million in gifts and pledges has now been raised toward the $7.8 million Light the Way campaign goal. Next on the construction list is to complete a new aquatic center in 2013. We are now within $300,000 of having the necessary funding pledged for the $1.5 million project. Tracey is no stranger to ND. Her husband Bill is a graduate of the Class of ‘74, her son Will a graduate of the Class of 2010 and her daughter Emmy is currently a sophomore.
