Location:
The qualifying round for the 2012 City of Los Angels Match Play Championship will be held at
the Encino golf course. Round one of match play will be held at Wilson golf course. Round two
will be held at Harding golf course. Rounds 3, 4 & 5 will be held at Rancho Park golf course.
Format:
The maximum index allowed is 4.2 ~ minimum age is 16. The qualifying round will be an 18
Hole stroke play competition. The lowest 32 players advance to match play. Player’s low index
must 4.2 or lower. The field is limited to 96 players. If the event is over subscribed priority will
be given to the lowest indexes & handicaps.

August 4 – Stroke Play
Encino – 96 players tee off. The low 32 advance to the Match Play competition.
August 5 – Round 1
Wilson – 32 players
August 6 – Round 2
Harding – 16 players
August 11 – Round 3
Rancho Park – 8 players
August 11 – Round 4
Rancho Park – 4 players
August 12 – Round 5
Rancho Park – Final 2 players
RULINGS:
The committee shall make all rulings. Refer to rules 2-5, 34-1a, 34-1b and 3-3 when officials are not readily
available. The committee on site shall resolve all disputes and claims in a timely manner. All committee rulings
are final.
RAIN-OUT:
In the event the tournament is interrupted by rain, no rescheduling will be done. No partial rounds will count
and the tournament will revert to the nearest 18 holes completed. A refund of green fees only will be issued.
DRESS CODE:
Appropriate golf attire is expected. Soft spikes are preferred.
GALLERY & CADDIES:
Caddies are permitted but must be at least 13 years old and register with the committee. Spectators are
permitted.

PAIRINGS:
The qualifying round first day pairings will be based on index. Match play pairings will be based upon
standings after the qualifying round.
DEADLINE:
Entries must be postmarked no later that July 23, 2012. No post entries will be accepted and no refunds will be
issued for no-shows. Cancellations after the closing date will be subject to a $10 processing fee.
TEE TIMES & RESULTS:
Tee Times will be available 7 days prior to the event on the web pages listed above. Results will be out 1 or 2
days after the event.
AWARDS:
Trophies & merchandise certificates or gift cards will be awarded. Merchandise certificates are redeemable at
any L.A. City Golf Course Pro Shop. Gift cards can be redeemed at any L.A. City Golf Course for greens fees,
cart fees and range balls (selected locations).
TIES:
Sudden death playoffs will decide all ties.
ELECTRIC CARTS:
Carts are $24 for double riders and $16 for single riders
ENTRY FEES:
Entry fees must accompany entry forms. Entry fee is $150. Make checks payable to: City of L.A.
