A consultant has been contracted to review all
financial policies and ensure compliance with
MFMA. The exercise is expected to be completed
by the 31 January 2005.

Capacity building programmes have been
conducted for Staff and Councillors on MFMA and
GAMAP.
2. Quality Improvement in Meetings
Ongoing emphasis on the attendance of meeting
and improving effectiveness of meeting; forming
quorums has been favorable over the last six
months.

Development
1. Review of policies and procedures
Corporate services department has secured the
services of a consultant to review policies and
procedures. The exercise will be complete by the
end of June 2006.
2. Develop and implement PMS
Corporate services department has secured the
services of a consultant to develop and
implement Performance Management System for
the Municipality. The exercise will be completed
by the 30 June 2006.
3. Strategic Planning Session
The session was held and a number of initiatives
were identified, amongst others, the Skills
Development for the Municipality. This exercise
will be critical for developing individuals through
training and development interventions aimed at
capacitating them to better deliver the services.
