NOILE TEHNOLOGII ÎN FORMAREA ŞI UTILIZAREA LISTELOR ELECTORALE. EVOLUŢII ŞI PERSPECTIVE

Advancing in the development of the provisions of the SAIS “Elections” Concept,
the Central Electoral Commission intends to test, during the election of May 16,
2010, in a pilot project in the town of Sîngera, some functions of the SAIS “Elections”,
such as the compilation of voter lists, registration of polling stations, registration
of DEC members, registration of candidates and their representatives,
registration of accredited observers, voting records and the number of voters
who participated in voting. Moreover, this project shall provide for the first demonstration
of i-voting in a polling station.
The aim of this pilot project is to make live detections of the deficiencies of both
the system and infrastructure, and those that depend on the human factor and
others. This will let us make a step forward in developing the SAIS “Elections”
and approaching the set target, ie fully automated elections. The target will be
achieved after addressing organizational and technical issues, such as the foundation
of a modern automated system of all electoral processes, identification
of citizens in the electronic electoral system, full implementation of the digital
signature procedure, getting Moldovans citizens to widely use the information
technologies, etc.
