Eugeniu STIRBU,
Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Republic of Moldova
Conclusions and Recommendations
Thank you all for your speeches and especially to our colleagues from Bosnia and
Herzegovina with whom we have a cooperation agreement which was signed in
2008 and that proves once again that our cooperation work should be closer and
more fruitful because we all have what to say.
I also want to thank Mr. Garkun who has participated in elections observation
since 2005, and has always been active and very receptive to our invitations, and
for the observations and proposals that are most welcome.
Of course, I also want to thank those from the OSCE, because we all appreciate
this very important organization that is one of the most professional in this field,
which dots the i’s when there are some divergences in the electoral process.
Thanks to colleagues from Romania for the idea with SMS messages which we
should take into account. It is good that you can check if you are in the list and
what polling station you should vote at.
My opinion is that all discussions today have reached their goal, which shows that
we are on the right path, that we must constantly improve, that international
practice should be studied and implemented on time. We must go step by step
and apply our Law 101 and the international practice, change and improve the
legislation.
Finally, we can draw some conclusions:
