NOILE TEHNOLOGII ÎN FORMAREA ŞI UTILIZAREA LISTELOR ELECTORALE. EVOLUŢII ŞI PERSPECTIVE
It is a pity that only a few companies are here, but, on the other hand, I am happy
to present you our portfolio. We specialize in modernizing elections, this means
managing elections, including voter registration, Election Day management, aggregation
of all results, tables etc. But what is more important, I am sure this is
the near future for Moldova as well, and I am glad that the CEC Chairman agrees
with my words, is electronic voting. When we talk about electronic voting, this
means not only voting by Internet, as already mentioned, Internet voting is a first
solution, but also remote voting in polling stations using direct registration and
electronic voting terminals, which offer, for example, to elderly people, the possibility
to vote using the touch screen system. This is indeed very easy for them
and accessible to all persons, including those with disabilities.
When we talk about electronic voting, such as, for example, securing the remote
electronic voting, we can mention voting by SMS messages, as my colleague from
Bosnia and Herzegovina presented the solution with SMS messages, but there
are other solutions that provide a secure and transparent election process. The
costs are very important. By the solutions that offer the possibility to issue ballots
on demand you can save on printing, can you imagine how many ballots need to
be printed for each country Electronic solutions can solve this problem.
Our company offers other solutions too, but now I want to mention our recent
experience in the Balkans. I am glad I could help the CEC from Bosnia and Herzegovina
to modernize their electoral system, we will also provide them a system
for managing the electoral process, including voter registration, Election Day
management, election reporting, centralized counting, tabulation of results, advice
and staff training.
The Commission faces some problems related to multiple databases, meaning
that much information and database resources are not correlated, but now our
solution will allow to create a unique complex system that will help the CEC in
managing electoral processes and will ensure a good basis for the later stages,
that is easier voting and many other solutions.
Also, the Ministry of Regional Development of Norway has recently decided to
modernize their electoral process using electronic voting solutions, including Internet
voting, which allowed citizens to vote from any part of the world. If we talk
about modernizing the elections, it refers not only to conventional elections, such
