that this is a process that cannot be avoided. Otherwise, I think the other important
thing that have been mentioned today remain valid for Moldova, especially
pertaining to the out-of-country voting, which creates big problems for Moldova,
and I think here the CEC’s approach is correct, out-of-country voting must be
based on the demands of citizens who are abroad. Otherwise, I think it will be
extremely difficult for Moldovan authorities to fish our citizens in different countries,
in different localities, and based on their requests, according to a well developed
procedure brought to citizens’ attention, the number of Moldovan citizens
abroad wishing to exercise their right to vote could be increased substantially.
Yet, I think the main problem is related to the procedures by which citizens’ requests
can be effective and efficient.
