LINES
Penn International lines have been developed to the same
exacting standards as our rods and reels. Our overall aim
is to achieve a high breaking strain for minimum diameter
in all line types, but then each line type needs different
characteristics to suit its intended fishing style.
Penn International Translucent Braid is one of the
toughest available with a high abrasion resistance,
strong knot strength, plus it features Cold Fused
Technology a system preventing water soaking in to the
line giving it a smooth surface for improved handling
performance. It’s also designed in translucent format
making it less visible in the water. Alternatively you have
Penn International Braid in yellow, made to the same
high standards, this line enables you to see the line
angle when fighting big fish deep down and far off.
International Surf & Boat monofilament is one of the most
versatile lines available. It handles superbly off the reel
when long range surf casting, but is also a top boat reel
line as well. It offers minimum stretch, low memory, has
high abrasion resistance but with a low diameter.
Our Shock Leader has minimum stretch for maximum feel
of the lead weight when building up a powerful cast,
but again features high knot strength, low diameter and
high abrasion resistance. Being minimal stretch it also
makes the perfect leader material for joining to braided
lines when boat fishing.
Completing the line range is Penn International Fluoro
carbon. Made using cutting edge technology this line is
virtually invisible in water, retains a slight suppleness
for better bait and lure presentation, but has incredible
abrasion resistance with a low diameter. It also knots
well so is compatible with both mono and braid lines as
a clear leader material when working lures.
