STUDYING IN AUSTRIA - KREMS
n Studying in Austria
Austria‘s political and social stability and
unique location at the heart of Europe
make it a perfect place to study.
n Krems –
a great university town
Krems is the eastern gateway to the
Wachau Valley and a short drive from
the Austrian capital, Vienna. Set in
one of Europe’s most picturesque river
landscapes, its history stretches back
more than a thousand years. The historic
old town is one of the most beautiful
in Europe, and over the centuries,
builders and architects have created a
unique character that has been lovingly
maintained and preserved. These efforts
have not gone unnoticed. In 1975 Krems
was designated a Model City for Historical
Preservation, and in 2000 it was added to
the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Krems is also firmly established as an
economic and educational hub. It is a
major centre of education in Austria
with state-of-the-art infrastructure and
excellent public transport. Students from
all over the world play a vital part in the
life of this small town.
Krems has been named the town with
the highest standard of living in Austria.
It harmoniously blends the traditional
and the modern and is well known for
its culture and hospitality, making this an
excellent setting for study and research.

LOCATIONS
n Campus Krems
The Campus Krems meets the highest
international standards, but has
lost nothing of its relaxed, personal
atmosphere. New laboratories and lecture
theatres and a well equipped library
combine with the Austrian Film Gallery
and cinema to form a perfect place to
study and work. A wide selection of cafes
and restaurants also make this a great
location for meeting business partners
and friends.
Modern architecture brings to life the
IMC Krems‘ characteristic forward-looking
approach.
n International Campus
Piaristengasse
The International Campus Piaristengasse is
a truly unique place of learning. Located
in the former Piarist monastery at the
heart of the old town, it features ultramodern
lecture theatres with cuttingedge
technical equipment. The Baroque
ceremonial hall and charming courtyard
add to the distinctive feel of the campus.
Outstanding facilities help create
an extremely productive learning
environment.
