Welcome to the IMC University of Applied 

Sciences Krems! 

We are a government-accredited Higher- 

Education Institution offering bachelor and 

master programmes. 

We offer degree programmes with a 

strong practical focus that are tailored 

to the needs of the professional arena, 

helping students to prepare for their 

professional careers. Studying at the 

IMC Krems is a life-changing experience

Austria‘s political and social stability and 

unique location at the heart of Europe 

make it a perfect place to study.

a great university town 

Krems is the eastern gateway to the 

Wachau Valley and a short drive from 

the Austrian capital, Vienna. Set in 

one of Europe’s most picturesque river 

landscapes, its history stretches back 

more than a thousand years. The historic 

old town is one of the most beautiful 

in Europe, and over the centuries, 

builders and architects have created a 

unique character that has been lovingly 

maintained and preserved. These efforts 

have not gone unnoticed. In 1975 Krems 

was designated a Model City for Historical 

Preservation, and in 2000 it was added to 

the UNESCO World Heritage List. 

Krems is also firmly established as an 

economic and educational hub. It is a 

major centre of education in Austria 

with state-of-the-art infrastructure and 

excellent public transport. Students from 

all over the world play a vital part in the 

life of this small town. 

Krems has been named the town with 

the highest standard of living in Austria. 

It harmoniously blends the traditional

Participants will also develop the necessary 

expertise to work on either the client side or 

as a service provider, and to independently 

apply their professional know-how using

gain the skills needed to support companies 

and organisations looking to implement 

policies and strategies aimed at enhancing 

environmental sustainability, and nurturing a 

sense of corporate and social responsibility.

Austrian and international graduates aiming 

to develop the skills required for working 

in an international environment, and to 

capitalise on career opportunities in an

aimed at students with a strong interest in

The full-time and part-time programmes 

give students the abilities required to assume 

leadership responsibility. Besides opening the

This wide-ranging master programme 

is aimed at students who are looking to 

assume executive responsibilities in human 

resource management or controlling. 

This programme focuses on economic 

responsibility and is mainly geared towards 

preparing students for leadership tasks at all 

levels of an organisation. After completing 

an elective in either controlling or human 

resources, programme graduates will be in a 

position to carry out leadership functions or 

work as experts in their respective specialist 

area.

interested in taking on executive roles or 

high-responsibility positions at national 

and international health institutions in the 

booming healthcare industry. 

Graduates can assume high-level posts

budget planning, public relations and 

communications, identifying and capitalising

This sector-independent master programme 

is geared towards the needs of students 

who aim to acquire in-depth expertise in the 

management of small and medium-sized

in regional and transregional enterprises. 

Their expertise centres on day-to-day and 

crisis management in SMEs or individual 

organisational units. The focus is also on 

developing skills in innovation and change 

management.

leisure management. 

This programme prepares students for a career 

in international tourism management. Besides

electives). Workplace experience is a key 

aspect of this master programme, and there is 

also the option of completing a double degree 

with the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid 

in Spain or Linnaeus University Kalmar in

This programme is aimed at students

After receiving bachelor-level training in 

basic music therapy skills, students go

requirements for the master thesis, which 

must be related to a practical clinical topic. 

The curriculum is also designed to combine

biomedicine, and the skills and expertise 

needed for biotechnology product 

development and manufacturing. Graduates 

will mainly go on to work in pharmaceutical 

and biotechnological companies and medical 

research centres. 

After completing the programme, students 

will be able to assume a wide range of senior 

and executive positions. Their responsibilities 

will range from planning and conducting 

biotechnological processes (fermentation) 

and biomedical and analytical testing to 

coordination of production, quality control 

and registration of pharmaceutical products.
