Beaches<br />
Man-O-War Bay, Charlotteville<br />

Pigeon Point<br />
One <strong>of</strong> the most popular beaches, with calm<br />
water <strong>and</strong> a wide selection <strong>of</strong> water sports<br />
available. Facilities include a lively bar,<br />
snack bar, changing rooms, showers <strong>and</strong><br />
boutiques. An entrance fee is required.<br />
Mount Irvine Beach<br />
Close to the hotel <strong>and</strong> golf course, the<br />
conditions at this small beach vary from<br />
calm <strong>and</strong> ideal for snorkeling in summer,<br />
to pounding surf from December to<br />
March. Restaurant, bar, changing facilities,<br />
washrooms, water sports equipment for<br />
rent.<br />
Store Bay<br />
Site <strong>of</strong> the annual Great Race this beach<br />
has ideal swimming conditions. Bar, food<br />
stalls selling local delicacies, picnic tables,<br />
changing facilities, lockers <strong>and</strong> showers<br />
are all nearby. Lifeguards are on duty.<br />
Man-O-War Bay<br />
A long, s<strong>and</strong>y stretch <strong>of</strong> beach near the<br />
fishing community <strong>of</strong> Charlotteville with<br />
an excellent natural harbour, fishing<br />
<strong>and</strong> swimming area; good snorkeling.<br />
Lifeguards are on duty <strong>and</strong> there are<br />
changing-rooms.<br />
Turtle Beach<br />
Also known as Great Courl<strong>and</strong> Bay,<br />
this beach is a long stretch <strong>of</strong> coarse,<br />
yellow s<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> drops <strong>of</strong>f steeply as you<br />
enter the water. Drinks <strong>and</strong> snacks are<br />
available. It is a favourite nesting site for<br />
the Leatherback turtles.<br />
Englishman’s Bay<br />
A fabulous, unspoilt <strong>and</strong> secluded beach<br />
with deep blue, crystal clear water, ideal<br />
for swimming <strong>and</strong> snorkeling. (Take your<br />
own gear).<br />
Castara<br />
A rustic, easygoing fishing-village with<br />
a wonderful stretch <strong>of</strong> beach. Several<br />
small guesthouses <strong>of</strong>fering basic<br />
accommodation, are scattered around the<br />
hillside.<br />
Parlatuvier Bay<br />
A crescent <strong>of</strong> creamy-white s<strong>and</strong>,<br />
surrounded by a picturesque hillside. The<br />
fishermen from the area use the pier in the<br />
middle. There are strong currents <strong>and</strong> a<br />
sharp drop-<strong>of</strong>f as you enter the sea.<br />
Pirate’s Bay<br />
One <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tobago</strong>’s most stunning bays with<br />
calm, clear waters surrounded by lush<br />
greenery. Excellent snorkeling.<br />
Caution is recommended when visiting<br />
<strong>Tobago</strong>’s more remote beaches. Travel<br />
in groups for safety <strong>and</strong> seek advice <strong>of</strong><br />
locals.<br />
